So as some of you may be aware the Queensland Government has just released its Vet Investment plan for 2014-15 and while nothing starts until after 1 July 2014, if you are in an organisation or part of an indigenous group or organisation you may be able to apply for some of the additional funding of up to $400,000. For organisations this can be used to offset the costs of putting your staff through training courses to meet critical skills gaps within your business, though it is important to note there is a 50:50 co-contribution expected in terms of the funding. If you are an indigenous group or organisation or work with indigenous people then the Indigenous Training strategy funding designed to encourage participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to achieve improved employment and economic outcomes may be of interested to you.
Information on both of these programs and the other funding initiatives can be found on the Departments Training Website.
Spectrum Training has applied to be a pre-qualified supplier of training under the plan for a range of community services and business qualifications, so if you are interested in utilising either of the program or any of the other funded training options please feel free to contact us and we can arrange a discussion about how we might be able to help you get the best outcomes for you particular funding solution.
